BACCO Executive Committee 2012-2015 members met with Chairman, BTRC

The Executive Committee 2012-2015 members of BACCO met with Maj Gen Zia Ahmed, psc (Retd.), Honorable Chairman, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) at his office on 24 July 2012. Lieutenant Colonel Md. Zakir Hossain, Director, Engineering & Operations Division of BTRC was also present during the meeting.

BACCO Executive Committee greeted the Chairman with flower bouquet and presented an honorary crest in appreciation for outstanding dedication and support to the call center & outsourcing industry development in Bangladesh above and beyond the call of duty. The EC also presented a crest to Lieutenant Colonel Md. Zakir Hossain for his contribution towards the call center industry.

Mr. Md. Abul Khair, Acting President of BACCO introduced all the newly elected members of BACCO to the Chairman. The EC explained their vision and mission to take the industry forward and seek BTRC Chairman’s kind support and intervention to make it happen quickly by working together.

The EC addressed few issues for immediate intervention such as: Domestic & International operation in same floor, Tax exemption for call centers, Elimination of revenue sharing by call centers, subsidized space for call center equipped with electricity and bandwidth connection.

Maj Gen Zia Ahmed, psc (Retd.) assured for immediate action on these matters and his continuous support to the emerging call center industry of Bangladesh.
