Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club and TMGB Sign MoU to Enhance Tech News Exchange
To strengthen technology-related news exchange between Bangladesh and China, Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club and Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The signing ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Dhaka office of CMG Bangla. On behalf of Apon Media Club, Olivia Qu signed the agreement, while TMGB was represented by its president, Mohammad Kawsar Uddin.
Joining the event online, Anandi Yu, Head of CMG’s Bangla Service, said the MoU will play a vital role in information exchange and global networking. He also emphasized that the agreement will further strengthen ties between China and Bangladesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Kawser Uddin noted that modern journalism now involves advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and mobile journalism, where Bangladesh could benefit from China’s experience.
Guests at the event expressed that the MoU would make it easier to build bridges between the people of both nations. They also discussed ways the two organizations could enhance cooperation in areas such as information sharing, training programs, and professional development for journalists.
Among others, TMGB Vice President Kumar Bishwajit Roy, General Secretary Mursalin Haque Zonaid, and Organizing Secretary Md. Golam Dustogir Touhid were present at the ceremony.
Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club officially began its journey in December 2024, while TMGB, an organization of technology journalists in Bangladesh, has been working since 2019 to promote professional excellence in the field.
